The core working principle of a thermal oil boiler is: the thermal oil is heated to a certain temperature (usually 30ºC-350ºC, and special models can reach higher) through a heat source (fuel combustion or electric heating), and then the circulating pump drives the thermal oil to circulate in a closed system to transfer heat to the heat-using equipment (such as reactors, dryers, etc.). The cooled thermal oil returns to the boiler for reheating to form a closed-loop heat transfer cycle.
Thermal oil (also known as heat transfer oil) has the characteristics of good thermal stability, large specific heat capacity, and high boiling point (up to 300ºC or more at normal pressure). Therefore, it does not need to rely on a high-pressure environment like a steam boiler to provide a high-temperature heat source. The system is safer to operate and has less heat loss.
1. High efficiency and energy saving
The heat transfer efficiency of thermal oil is high, and the heat utilization rate can reach more than 90%, which is much higher than that of traditional steam boilers (about 60%-70%);
There is no loss of steam condensate, and there is no need to consume a lot of water resources (only a small amount of thermal oil needs to be replenished), and the operating cost is lower.
